Project Managers know to “Develop a Human Resource Plan”. Clear tools for this like a Responsibility Chart and Organizational Chart are stock in trade. Less clear perhaps is the tool referred to as “Organizational Theory”? What exactly are the “Personal Relationship Factors” to which the Project Management Body of Knowledge refers? This presentation offers some possibilities.

What’s Offered?
Mr. Burns offers road tested experiences from several fortunate, and sometimes not so, companies. Practical hands-on ways to consider relationship factors are deliberated. Considerations around the Project Manager’s viewpoint, intentions, speech and way of creating action should offer reflection on the how to truly develop a Human Resource Plan.

Presenter Bio:
Andrew Burns is the President Elect of the South West Ohio Chapter of the Project Management Institute (SWOC PMI). A freelance writer contributing to Information Week, an IT Architect, Program and Project Manager, and a dedicated PMP, Mr. Burns approaches difficult topics with pathos and a wealth of experience. Mr. Burns has addressed the 2009 Global Congress in 2009 and several Chapter meetings in the past with a signature wry sense of humor, tempered by demonstrated dedication to the art and science of project management.
