Project Manager Opportunities in Louisville

I have been looking for a Project Manager or similar opportunity in Louisville for months with no real success. Spent four days sending resumes' to Indianapolis and Cincinnati for contract and full-time positions. Three days later I have two phone interviews with a hiring manager and recruiter. I traveled to Indianapolis Tuesday for two interviews. Not job offers but I at least got some interest. I'm PMP and most of my experience is Business Development/Sales (resume is on my page). It seems… Continue

Abandoned Site

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know that I haven't abandoned this site. :) I recently had to reformat my laptop due to a "bot intrusion" and have been having a time getting everything back the way that it was, while simultaneously trying to get hallicious.com back up and running because it was hacked by the bot...

Yea. :)

In the mean time, my new Virus/Firewall protection program was blocking all javascript pop-ups,… Continue

If you need something done...give it to a busy person.

Has anyone else noticed that the less efficient a project manager, the more help he gets whereas the more efficient a project manager, the higher the expectation as well as the work load? Are there any suggestions for working in this type of environment?

Group on LinkedIn

In the spirit of the excellent presentation Chris gave this past week, I just created a group on LinkedIn so that our members can easily find eachother there. It's not intended at all to replace any of the functionality here (later today all of that will be disabled, but I have to run out right now), it's simply a place to be able to easily link in with other members in our chapter.

Hope you will all come out and join up!

It's listed under groups and it is simply titled… Continue

Social Media and Project Management

As promised, I've uploaded the presentation from our free PDU event at Club Grotto to Slideshare and am embedding it in this post. I tried to make it so that you could follow along at home without me having to talk to it too much... but I totally understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :)

If there is anything that I missed in this presentation, or that you would like to see covered in future events, please let your feelings be known in the comments below. I… Continue

Thanks for Another Great Event

I really enjoyed myself last night and hope that the presentation wasn't a snore-fest... ;) We had 31 people sign in to the event, which is an 8% improvement over last event's attendance of 25. So we're moving in the right direction. I'm in the process of posting the pics that I took (they should be up tonight) and if you took any yourself, please add them to the site.

Now I would like to thank some groups and individuals for making it… Continue

Presenting Goodness

I was on a presentation kick this past weekend and came across this awesome YouTube video via the Cool Infographics blog. I really am getting into black, white and red in my slides. Simplicity seems to strike a cord with me, what can I say.

Anyway, the presentation is awe inspiring in two ways, in my opinion:

Way Number One - The visuals are easy to follow and I personally love the song Right Here, Right… Continue
